Description

The Haldex Drag Racing Controller is a device indispensable for every competitor taking part in a 1/4 mile competition with a car equipped with a 4Motion drive with the Haldex system, which is proved by the fact that the leading race riders use this device for a quarter of a mile.

It enables the drive to be fully shortened during start-up, and its automatic disconnection after exceeding the set speed of the car.

The great advantage of the device is the fact that it does not require any additional sensors, which allows the use of 4Motion drive in cars without ABS.

The device is also successfully used in everyday traffic, where the ability to smoothly adjust the short circuit of the rear drive using the potentiometer.

Features of the device:

  • full control of the short circuit of the rear drive (50% -50%),
  • regulation of the short circuit of the drive by means of a potentiometer,
  • the ability to automatically “unfasten” the drive after the vehicle has exceeded the set speed,
  • protection against overheating of oil,
  • “unbraking” the drive when the handbrake is engaged,
  • full configuration of the device + logging of its status by means of a PC,
  • 24 months warranty for the device.

Comments:

For correct operation of the controller it is necessary to modify the Haldex module. It is performed by the Ecumaster company.

Hardware requirements:

The following minimum configuration is required for correct cooperation with the device.

As modern portable computers do not usually have built-in serial ports (COM), the device works with popular USB <-> COM adapters.

  • Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7
  • Screen resolution at least 800×600 16bit,
  • A processor with a clock of at least 500MHz,
  • The serial port (RS232) or USB converter is RS232.

The composition of the set:

  • HALDEX DRAG RACING CONTROLLER,
  • RS232 (DB9) cable <-> HDRC,
  • A set of plugs used to connect the device to the Haldex module,
  • Modified Halex module (provided by the client),
